Terms and Conditions of Sale
I offer two ways to work together:
Custom Pattern Design – created uniquely for your brand.
Exclusive Pattern Library – ready-to-license designs with exclusive rights.
1. Custom Pattern Service – Licence Terms
When commissioning a custom pattern, the Licensee receives a Permanent Exclusive Commercial Licence.
Permanent Exclusivity
The pattern is created uniquely for the Licensee’s brand and will never be licensed, resold, or reused for any other client.
Unlimited Usage
The Licensee may use the design across all products, categories, and markets worldwide, with no time limit.
Copyright
The Licensed Artwork remains the sole property of the Licensor.
The Licensor retains the non-transferable right to display the design in portfolios, websites, social media, and marketing materials.
Restrictions
The Licensee may not resell, sublicense, share, or transfer the Licensed Artwork to any third party.
Refunds
Due to the custom nature of the service, all sales are final.
2. Pattern Library – Exclusive Licence Terms
All exclusive licences grant the Licensee the right to use one pattern exclusively worldwide, across all product categories, for the selected licensing term:
2 years
5 years
Forever (lifetime exclusive licence)
After the licence term (for 2-year or 5-year licences), the Licensee may request renewal for an additional fee.
Lifetime licences require no renewal and remain exclusive indefinitely.
PROHIBITED USES AND LIMITATIONS
1. Permitted Usage
The Licensee may use the Licensed Artwork to create physical, finished products, including but not limited to:
textiles & fabrics
apparel & accessories
wallpaper
stationery
home goods
packaging
lifestyle products
Use of the Licensed Artwork for digital-only products (e.g., digital wallpapers, digital templates, downloadable files) is strictly prohibited unless written permission is granted.
2. Licence Duration
Valid for 2 years, 5 years, or Forever, depending on licence purchased.
Worldwide exclusivity during the licence period.
After expiration (for 2- or 5-year licences), the Licensee must stop using the design immediately unless renewed.
The Licensee has the first option to request renewal. Renewal fees are determined at the time of renewal.
3. Distribution and Social Media
The Licensed Artwork may not be shared, posted, or displayed in any way that allows others to:
download
screenshot
extract
trace
reproduce
the design as a standalone file.
Posting product photos featuring the design is permitted.
Posting the pattern file itself (e.g., seamless tile, raw artwork) is strictly prohibited.
4. Print-On-Demand Services (Strictly Prohibited)
The Licensed Artwork may not be uploaded to any platform that lets others create customized products using the design, including:
Spoonflower
Redbubble
Society6
Zazzle
Printful
Any POD or customizable product service
This applies to both commercial and personal use.
5. Trademark Restrictions
The Licensed Artwork may not be used:
as part of a trademark or trade dress
in logos or brand identity
in any attempt to register or claim ownership rights
The Licensee may not attempt to trademark any product featuring the artwork.
6. Copyright
The Licensed Artwork remains the exclusive intellectual property of the Licensor.
The Licensee may not claim authorship or copyright of the artwork or any derivative.
The Licensor reserves the right to:
display the Licensed Artwork for portfolio and marketing purposes
offer the artwork again once the licence expires (unless a lifetime licence was purchased)
7. Wholesale Fabrics or Raw Materials (Prohibited)
The Licensed Artwork may not be used for the creation or resale of raw materials, including:
fabric yardage
wallpaper rolls
textile bolts
wholesale materials intended for third-party resale
Only finished, branded products created by the Licensee are permitted.
8. Misrepresentation
The Licensee may not falsely claim authorship, originality, or ownership of the design.
9. Refunds
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for digital downloads or licences.
10. Updates to Terms
The Licensor may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updates apply only to future licences, not to licences already purchased.

By purchasing a licence, you acknowledge and agree to all terms outlined above.
Failure to comply may result in licence termination and legal action.
